Cessna Aerobat now available

(Issued Jun 2008)

Anglian Flight Centres now have access (for a short while) to a Cessna 150 aerobat. Why not take this opportunity (while it exists!) to learn some gentle aerobatic manoeuvres with an instructor, or even set yourself the goal of completing the AOPA Aerobatic Certificate. We can offer all of these things at the club. Speak to Nigel Willson for more information.

Anglian Flight Centres supports Charity Jail Break!

(Issued Apr 2008)

Two aircraft and pilots assisted a charity jail break, transporting 4 inmates from Colchester Castle on their initial outward journey to Manston to hitch a ride on a cross channel ferry. The sponsored objective was for each team to try to get as far away from Colchester as they could with no money. The charities supported were Essex Air Ambulance and Essex Autism, and was reported in the local press.

Anglian Flight Centres sponsors yakdisplay.com for 2008

(Issued Apr 2008)

Anglian Flight Centres are proud to announce the sponsorship of yakdisplay.com during 2008; the otherwise well know trio of Nigel, Debs and G-BXJB (the Yak52). All three perform at airshows and displays both locally and further afield. As part of the sponsorship, the Yak will be based at Earls Colne, and is sign-written with the clubs name and logo. The club gets promoted by Debs on the ground as part of the display commentary - our aim is to get more people air-borne with Anglian Flight Centres! As a result, you'll be seeing much more of the aircraft, especially at weekends - which are now pretty much filled with display bookings throughout the summer. Keep your eyes glued to the club notice board for opportunities of cost share flights in the Yak - something you can put in your logbook as PU/T since Nigel holds a Class Rating Instructor rating!
